Ron Galloway

Ron Galloway spent nearly 20 years as an investment analyst before retiring from finance in 2004 and picking up a camera. The combination of Wall Street pattern recognition and a filmmaker’s eye for narrative produced a distinctive voice on business disruption — one that explains where markets and industries are heading with the clarity that numbers alone rarely achieve.

Documentary Filmmaker and Business Futurist

Galloway directed Why Wal-Mart Works, produced the PBS World War II documentary Oflag 64: A P.O.W. Odyssey, and created Rethinking PowerPoint. He is a Georgia Tech graduate and a Huffington Post columnist. His work has been featured on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, ABC’s World News Tonight, and The Daily Show, and he has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, and The New Yorker.

Trends at the Intersection of Technology and Society

Galloway’s presentations focus on the disruptive forces reshaping industries — including the transformation of healthcare by Amazon, Google, and CVS, the societal implications of increasing longevity, and the business impact of blockchain technology. He customizes each presentation to the specific industry and strategic context of his audience.

His keynote programs help business leaders understand where disruption is coming from, how to read emerging trends early, and how to position their organizations for long-term competitive advantage in a world where the pace of change is only accelerating.
