Peter Greenberg is a multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter and producer, and America’s most recognized travel news journalist. Known in the industry as “The Travel Detective,” he speaks on global travel trends, the interconnected economy, and how world events impact business and tourism, drawing from over 11 million miles of worldwide travel experience. Travel Weekly named him one of the most influential people in travel alongside Bill Marriott and Richard Branson.

Greenberg serves as Travel Editor for CBS News, appearing on CBS Mornings, CBS Evening News, and Sunday Morning. He hosts the public television series The Travel Detective with Peter Greenberg and produces the acclaimed PBS specials The Royal Tour, featuring one-on-one journeys through countries with their heads of state including the King of Jordan, Prime Ministers of New Zealand and Israel, and Presidents of Mexico and Peru. He also hosts the nationally syndicated Peter Greenberg Worldwide radio show, broadcasting from a different location each week.

Author & Awards
Greenberg is a New York Times bestselling author of the Travel Detective book series including The Complete Travel Detective Bible, Don’t Go There!, and The Best Places for Everything. He was inducted into the U.S. Travel Association’s Hall of Leaders and has received multiple Emmy Awards including for his ABC 20/20 investigative special What Happened to the Children? and as part of the NBC Dateline team covering Miracle on the Hudson.

Background
Greenberg began his career as a West Coast correspondent for Newsweek. He served as Vice President of television development at Paramount, where he helped develop MacGyver. When not traveling the globe, he serves as an active volunteer firefighter in New York.
