From Goldman Sachs to Eurasia Group
Before joining Brunswick, Kazan worked as a market strategist at Goldman Sachs, Daiwa Asset Management, and Bear Stearns. At Eurasia Group, he pioneered the Political Risk Country Portfolio, a systematic quantitative framework for analyzing how political risk is priced across emerging markets — work that influenced how institutional investors think about sovereign exposure. He also directed Eurasia Group’s collaboration with Nikko Asset Management to develop investment products that formally incorporate political risk. He holds degrees from the University of California, Davis and Georgetown University.
