Rita Moreno is an iconic actress, singer, and dancer whose career spans more than seven decades. Background
Born Rosa Dolores Alverio in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Moreno moved to New York at age five, began dance lessons at six, and made her Broadway debut at thirteen. She is also a dedicated activist supporting causes including racial equality, education, and diabetes awareness.
