Anthony Zinni

General Anthony Zinni is a retired four-star Marine Corps general and former Commander of U.S. Central Command, where he was responsible for all American military operations across 25 countries in the Middle East, East Africa, and Central Asia. He brings decades of experience commanding 250,000 troops and navigating some of the most complex geopolitical challenges of the modern era.

General Zinni joined the Marine Corps in 1961 and was commissioned as an infantry second lieutenant in 1965 upon graduation from Villanova University. His career spanned combat tours in Vietnam, peacekeeping operations in Somalia, and command of U.S. Central Command during a period of intense regional instability. He is the author of multiple books on leadership and strategy, and his post-military career has included service as a special envoy and strategic advisor to governments and corporations.
