For 15 years, Cris Carter turned heads and ran for the long passes as one of the top wide receivers in the National Football League. After his career on the field wrapped up, he parlayed his football experience into a second career as an analyst for major pigskin events.
After playing college ball for Ohio State University, Cris Carter made his NFL debut for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1987. From there, he moved to the Minnesota Vikings, where he played from 1990 to 2001, the longest stretch of his career. He finished up his career with one season in 2002 with the Miami Dolphins. Over the years, Cris Carter acquired 13,899 receiving yards, 130 touchdowns and 1,101 receptions.
Since he retired from the gridiron, Cris Carter appearances on ESPN have been common. The wide receiver offers analysis on Sunday and Monday night football coverage and serves as an analyst for Yahoo! Sports. He has also hosted HBO’s “Inside the NFL.”
Popular Cris Carter speaker appearances have taken place on several occasions, including when the 2008 and 2009 NFL Rookie Symposiums snapped up the former pro as a motivational speaker. Among the Cris Carter endorsements over the years, you will find the 2005 video game NFL Street 2, which featured him as a wide receiver, and the South Florida training institute, Cris Carter’s Fast Program. You might also even catch a Cris Carter speaking engagement at a pulpit because the football great is an ordained minister.
