Known as “The Father of Supply-Side Economics,” he sparked the worldwide tax-cutting movement of the 1980s and played a key role in California’s Proposition 13, which drastically cut property taxes in 1978.

Dr. Laffer served on President Reagan’s Economic Policy Advisory Board (1981-1989) and advised UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on fiscal policy. He held distinguished professorships at Pepperdine University and USC, and was an associate professor at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Laffer earned his B.A. from Yale University and his MBA and Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University.
