Susan Fonseca

As a visionary, education catalyst and global connector, Susan has launched the following organizations: Founding Member of Singularity University, Women@TheFrontier, and SheWorks!

Susan is also the Global Impact Advisor & Director of Communications at Rocky Hill Country Day School building next generation learning experiences, innovative programs, and the first statewide student-led global good Hackathon.

For her work at Singularity University, Susan was described by Peter Diamandis and Ray Kurzweil as “the Heart” of the organization. Susan led the initial build-out to execute the Founding structure, source 1.5M seed capital and negotiate a 5-year Space Act Agreement with NASA. Under her leadership, SingularityU launched its flagship Global Impact Studies and Executive Programs. Susan also drove strategic partnerships with Google, Autodesk and TED and reached 70+ nations around the world. For her role and impact, she is named “Singularity University Founding Architect.”

In an effort to positively impact 1 Billion people, and drive discussion addressing inclusion and novel investment models, Susan launched Women@TheFrontier to connect game-changers and discover female Role Models, and SheWorks! to fuel the future STEM pipeline and build a global talent workforce.

Susan is an international keynote speaker, having presented at Mastercard Latin America & Caribbean Leadership Forum, TEDx, the Digital World Congress Summit, Clinton Foundation’s Future of the America’s Summit, Forbes Latin America Women of Power Summit, The International Development Bank’s Demand Solutions Conference, NASA’s STEM Summit, The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Leadership Summit, Global Entrepreneurship Summit, The University of Georgia, Waterloo University, Universidad Tecnológico de Monterrey, The US Federal Bank’s Annual Leadership Conference, the National Environment’s Members Conference, and Google.

With a background in Law and Anthropology, Susan has served as Presidential Attaché on diplomatic trade missions leading negotiations between international Presidents and U.S. Trade Officials including CAFTA-DR (a multinational Free Trade Agreement between The United States, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and The Dominican Republic).

Susan’s focus is to leverage Education – Innovation – Entrepreneurship to establish the next learning frontier, and align resources, partnerships, real-life experiences in order to understand and meet an accelerated and adaptable future world of work.
